Learning Management System Application Training and Orientation

Description This service acquires, develops and delivers training/orientation content and manages training/orientation activities needed to operate, support or use the learning management system.

  • Monday – Friday: 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM
  • After hours by arrangement.
  • Online self-help content available 24/7.

Charges In-house workshops advertised by CATL are at no cost. Faculty-specific workshops are available on request and require sufficient time for planning and development at the request of the LMS trainer.

Prerequisites
  • Functional infrastructure and network.
  • Functional LMS.
  • Appropriate teaching technologies in training facility.
  • Minimum threshold of participation needed to sustain offerings.
  • UMNetIDs.

Delivery Channels
  • Catalogue of in-house training sessions.
  • Scheduled face-to-face or virtual consultations.
  • Completed incident and service requests submitted through the IST Service Desk.
  • Online library of resource materials developed in-house and acquired externally.
  • Classroom faculty and graduate student training sessions.
  • Classroom student orientations (by request).
